I think that if the notes of the labels have been written by the workers of primark, their working conditions should be investigated inmediately. Writing in labels show that they are desesperated and thay can´t manifestate their problem in another way, what it is horrible. It is incredible that still in the 21 century some people work in such bad conditions while others earn milions for example playing football. Moreover, I have felt impressed with this new but if I think of the prices of Primark, all makes sense. When we buy there, the only thing we feel in love with the low prices and we don´t take into account that to sell the products so cheaply someone have to be working with a very low wage.
In my opinion, it is a really sad new. It's nearly unbelievable that those notes are the only way of the poor workers to express themselves. We already knew that the workers of those shop chains are pay low wages and so whe should have imagine that they couldn’t manifestate themselves either. Anyway, something must be done promptly.
I totally agree with Ana when she mentions the fact of the low prices. As far as we are concerned we sould do sometinhing, stop buying ther for instance, so that they would take it into account and start worrying about their worker’s conditions.
I also agree with Ana´s and Estibaliz´s opinions about the prices of the products from this shops. I am surprised that nowadays there is still people working in such bads conditions and their only way to show them is writing on the labes of the products. With this type of news it seems like if we are going back instead of going on. I can´t understand how nobody haven´t realized before of this situation, but now it´s obvious that we have to do something and show it to all the people who buy in Primark shops.
We all have been to Primark at least once just because of their very low prices, but what we have never thought about is how much effort and hard work is behind all of that prices. It is really dramatic to see that nowadays still are so many employees in these slave situations. Reading these type of news we can realise that some people work for others to become richer and richer.
We can also see that workers work under a big preassure if they can only show what is their situation by writing it on a label. It is obvious that this new is not a hoax and that something must be done. No one could have imagined this but it is happening an enormous injustice which is going to be difficult to stop.
I think that these type of occurrences show us that despite being in the 21st century some people work as much as they used to do and in bad conditions as they used to work in other centuries. I do not think that the way they work can be accetable in any country, it does not matter where you are but the human rights we have must be respected.
I see these labels as the only way of communicating with the world showing us how are they living and that they need our help. Many journalists do not talk to us about how the real world is, and less if they are talking about a big company which makes a lot of money. But these situations must be communicated to the citizens.
People should think carefully about this article and decide whereas they want to buy there again or not.
I think this is so sad. I have just realised how low the salary of the workers is because in the shop you can buy a t-shirt for only 2 euros. When we enter Primark we get blind and even though the quality of the stuff is not good, what we only see are their low prices.
Also, I find the way that worker asked for help very desperate. It seems to me that nobody listens to workers so the only way they have to expose their problem to the world is writing in a label secretly. I wouldn't mind Primark puting its prices up a little bit if in that way the employees are better paid and their working conditions improved.
